Chelmsford Food & Drink Festival

Event Date(s)

10/05/2019 - 12/05/2019 - 3 day(s)

Information For Trader/Participants

The Chelmsford Food & Drink Festival returns to Central Park over the weekend 10th to 12th May 2019. We launched this event in April last year and despite the fact that we had some inclement weather, the Chelmsford folk turned out in good number. Despite the rain and the low temperatures, they really tried to support the festival with man woman and child huddled in the seating area raising a glass or two and tucking stoically into a selection of street foods in face of the Great British springtime.

So to capitalise on the great promise that this first outing showed, we have pushed the date into May (one of our prime weekends) and running the event as the main show and we are confident that the Chelmsford Food and Drink festival could become one of our flagship events.

Central Park, next to the river Can is a popular and well known events space just a 10 minute walk from the train station, and 5 minutes form the main shopping areas in town. Based on past experience, we are convinced that there is a strong trading opportunity for products and produce across the board.

This free to enter event is within easy walking distance of the town and all public transport stops, getting to and from the venue couldn't be easier - come for a visit and stay for the day with plenty of entertainment for foodies and those who just like fun with their food.

On the stage there will be a line-up of great artists performing across a range of genre. Alfresco dining, good food shopping, music a relaxed friendly atmosphere at this exciting new event for the Chelmsford Events Calendar.

International street foods, artisan grocery foods together with bars offering real ales, ciders, craft lagers, specialist spirits and plenty of fizz.

Local businesses are particularly welcome including those selling home or garden-related products and crafts.
